Javea Property, Villas and Apartments Guide, Costa Blanca North

Javea is situated on the east coast of Spain, at the northern end of The Costa Blanca . It is approximately 100 km from Valencia (to the north) and 90 km from Alicante (to the south). Both these cities have airports and there are an ever increasing number of low cost flights to Spain providing easy access to the Costa Blanca and areas in Spain such as the lovely Costa Blanca coastline of Javea.
 

The Costa Blanca

Stretching from Alicante in the south to Denia in the north, the Costa Blanca has a coastline with impressive cliffs, rocky coves and beautiful sandy beaches. Close inland rugged mountains rise up and provide easy escape from the busy tourist spots to quiet mountain villages. Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe; Switzerland being the first.
 
The climate in Spain from north to south is completely different and the Costa Blanca enjoys a wonderful climate, being neither too hot in summer nor very cold in winter. Javea Area

Javea has for a long time been a favourite part of spain for the British community on the Costa Blanca North. Many Brits (and other nationalities, too) either have holiday villas in Javea or are living here permanently. In the busy summer season Javea is popular not only for its lovely beaches, bars and restaurants, but also for its local fiestas and its near perfect climate.
 
Off-season, Javea quietens down a lot, but there's always entertainment to be found, much of which being aimed at the expat community (English theatre, original version cinema and organised events). You will always find something going on in javea.
 
There are three main urban areas in Javea : Javea the old town, Javea the port and Javea the Arenal.
 

Javea Old Town

A maze of pretty, narrow streets typical of Spain and hosts a colourful market on Thursdays.
 

Javea Port

Home to a small fishing fleet, Javea Port is busy all year round and here you can enjoy fresh fish in the local restaurants and a real taste of spain.
 

Javea Arenal

The main tourist area in Javea is the Arenal; it has a beautiful long sandy beach with shallow safe waters and a beachside promenade with many bars and restaurants. It is an ideal location for a Costa Blanca holiday. During the summer months, Javea Arenal is constantly buzzing and here you can buy attractive presents in the many local crafts stalls set up here in the evening.
 

Surroundings

Javea is within easy reach of many other attractive spots like Altea, the inland village of Jalón with its Saturday flea market and the ever-popular Benidorm, with its new theme park Terra Mítica. The beautiful Moraira , Gata and the wonderful Jalon valley areas are only 25 minutes drive away.
 
The road network is fabulous and provides good access to all parts of Spain if you wish to go beyond Javea or Costa Blanca.
